I think pictures.. although the blight of our modern society..often tell a thousand words. So here they are.
Glastonbury Festival.
End of the Road Festival.
This is a great festival.. very folkie but a tad middle aged and mature. For one reason or another we were only able to stay for one night. It was completely free... but that is neither here nor there. This tree which fell though the perimeter fence helped a little.
Bestival Festival.
I always decide everything at the last minute. Unable to get a ticket through word of mouth or friends, I arrived at the festival gate. Still no ticket. The previous plans that had been successful at other festivals were not applicable here. The fence was too high, security were everywhere and I felt intimidated by the police van moving into the car park. Gumtree provided the answers. Along with a friend we traveled by taxi to a small town...after unsuccessfuly trying to find 'George' in one pub we tracked him down to another round the corner. We paid cash and i ended up with a crew wrist band..access everywhere. The taxi lady took a shining to us and gave the fare to us for cheap. We had a great time.
To Conclude. Festivals are great. Paying is great. I always spend money in them and give to who, in my judgement, deserves it. Do what you want... and get away with what you can. . make your life a comedy.
